''I know from personal experience what it feels like to survive and what it feels like to thrive. The contrast in how you feel in those states and what impact you can make, is heart-wrenching. When I look around, I see way too many people and organizations surviving, because they don't invest sufficiently in 'prevention' and are therefore constantly occupied by 'curing'. You can only experience life in full and truly make an impact when you are not surviving but flourishing, as a human being and as an organization. Consciousness paves the way to transformation and flourishing. That's why I bring clarity that leads to consciousness > transformation > flourishing - precisely what my own growth path looked like. How I currently feel on a daily basis, and the impact I can make from this flourishing state, is what I want to give to others, so they too can live life in full and make an impact within their workplace and society at large.''

The blue zones are my main source of inspiration. Since I started shaping my lifestyle based on theirs, I experienced first-hand how everyday choices – interacting with each other and your environment – have an immense impact on your wellbeing. What I have observed over the past years, as a human being and as an employee, is that most individuals and organizations aim to prioritize wellbeing but have a limited understanding of how almost all daily choices are in fact biological determinants that provide input for biological regulatory systems that shape human flourishing, which in turn enables employee flourishing and enhances organizational capabilities, ultimately leading to organizational flourishing. This flawed understanding translates to fragmented approaches leading to results that are unsatisfying.

 

This is why I developed The Biological Foundation of Organizational Flourishing Framework, which I introduce in a paper on organizational flourishing, and developed To a 100 Years in 52 Weeks – a 52-week guidebook to a blue zone-lifestyle for individuals.  

 

I ignite individual and organizational flourishing by bringing people and organizations to consciousness with written and spoken words: as a consultant, speaker and writer. I combine philosophical depth with down-to-earth clarity. Intuition with analysis. Humanity with sharpness.
